Charles Matz has been representing injured persons since 1996. He was born in Baltimore, and aside for time away for college and law school, he has been a lifelong resident of the Baltimore metropolitan area. After his graduation from Amherst College, he worked for two years at a law firm in Baltimore before attending the University of Virginia School of Law. Upon graduation in 1995, he had the prestigious job of serving as a law clerk for a judge on Maryland's Court of Special Appeals during the 1995–1996 term. Once his clerkship ended, he joined his father in private practice, obtaining extensive experience in representing injured persons and navigating the complex legal issues they may face.

Mr. Matz is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice, the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and is also a member of the bar of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.


Jacob Matz
has been practicing law in the Baltimore metropolitan area and has represented injured persons during his entire career. A former president of the Maryland Association for Justice (formerly the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association).

Mr. Matz was born and raised in Baltimore. He is a decorated soldier in the United States Army. He received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Maryland, as well as before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Mr. Matz has also served as Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, Member of the Review Board of the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, Chairman of the Baltimore City Economic Development Commission, and President of the Civitan Club of Baltimore. He is a member of the following organizations: American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Maryland Association for Justice, Bar Association of Baltimore County, Bar Association of Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County Bar Association.
